Territory and Experiential Tourism

The promotion of the territory today must be inextricably linked with what is the Esperenziale Tourism.
But how is it possible to exploit the best side of experiential tourism to promote the area? How can destinations give visibility to their specific offer in a unique and original way?
Four easy ways to do this:
1. Your best stage is your territory
Every story needs a stage on which to bring it to life. A theatrical performance, as such, is made up of people, a plot, a place, an ending. The theater with its stage is any place where there is a man who narrates and one who stops to listen. For us who want to do territorial promotion and who have the objective of experiential involvement, we will have to make the place the central element of the narration, which takes life through the interweaving of the guests' experience, who will thus be able to live a real experience immersive in the destination. In this way, the territory becomes a real protagonist, a stage ready to receive the characters of a new story every day to live together with the guests, through the experiential tourist offer that we have been able to organize.
2. Create a unique experiential offer, live it and make it live with passion and make sure that everyone will talk about it
Start with the offer of a tourism product or service that is intrinsically linked to the territory you know well or of which you can find as much information as possible (historical, cultural, intriguing, but also, if there were any, myths and legends). Look for a detail, a unique and unrepeatable element, which is unique in that it is linked to your region and to your land; Prepare it, study it, knead it with passion, season it with the news and memories you have collected, smell it with feelings and emotions, stage it with passion and courage, give it power and visibility, creating a tourist offer totally different from the others to make it experiential ; Study a promotional activity thinking of the target you want to address, whether national or international, without forgetting the uniqueness of the detail you have selected. It can be a tasting tour of local delicacies or wines, the historical re-enactment of the city's past, a visit accompanied by a local guide who explains the lesser-known side of the past (or present) of the city, of a food and wine tour by bike or on horseback. The important thing is to choose a unique and specific content and present it in the form of an Emotional Experience, which generates expectation, first and what satisfaction. An experience that has touched feelings to the point of making it impossible to not talk about it to friends, acquaintances, online as much as offline.
3. Involving people actively and giving them a memorable experience is the best way to conceive storytelling.
Choose to travel and the desire to get out of your everyday life, from your routine, to let yourself be transported into a new world that you take away from everyday life. This is the primary reason that leads us to plan the next trip to discover new experiences and new emotions. To try, therefore, to promote an experience linked to the territory, we must place ourselves in the shoes of the traveler to whom we want to turn and answer three fundamental questions: What is the story that the guest would like to live? How can this desire be linked to life, history, people, the uniqueness of the territory we want to promote? What should be the role that the guest will play in history? The story must be inextricably linked to the historical period you want to tell, telling how life took place then, what was done, what feelings were lived, what fears, what aspirations. Tell us, giving examples, tell people who really existed or were probably invented. Tell them about the anxieties and loves, tells a slice of their life. It tells the legends that are told about them. At that point, ask your guests to enter into history, becoming themselves protagonists of that historical period, invite them to follow you, involving all their senses starting from the smells, because the smells, those, just do not forget. Let them wear, if you can, even clothes or simply head coverings, give them names and assignments to the missions, bring them into the story you want to tell by going to stimulate their memories as children. If the routes are long to explore use also unusual means such as carriages, horses, but also usual ones such as bicycles or golf carts. In a siege of a city, make guests become knights who have to sneak off in search of help and the ladies of the ladies who have to organize the defenses, awaiting the return of their loves.

4. Identification
In promoting your territory and your Sensory Experience, take care of the details because they are the ones that will make the difference, be they infinite, small or large details. Once you have selected one or more elements to focus on promoting your territory and your Sensory Experience, if you want to create real involvement, you must use the Identification tool. It is not just a question of talking about the history of the territory, but of a real technique, which, if applied with true and sincere passion for one's work and idea, allows tourists to identify themselves with the story and the emotions experienced by the characters and, at the same time, to plunge into the territory. The identification always consider it the fundamental pillar of Experiential Tourism.
