The CNN Travel site recognizes in Naples a tourism boom and a ferment like never before. In fact, the historic center is now a huge island dedicated daily to receiving tourists from all over the world, welcoming them in alleys of a thousand colors, churches of very important historical-cultural importance, paths in the bowels of the city, remains of different eras (the Roman and Greek Neapolis first and foremost), unique works of art, colors and flavors of street food that will be the indelible memory of those who savor them.

In particular, the CNN bloggers talking about Naples cite:
The Neapolitan pizza, The land of Sophia Loren, The legendary friendliness of the people, Flamboyant hotels, The craft shops (especially those of the Shepherds of the San Gregorio Armeno area, New open cultural areas, the rediscovered Sanità district, The ancient catacombs ( especially those of San Gennaro in Capodimonte), the district of Paolo La Motta, the works of Louise Bourgeois and Anish Kapoor in the Capodimonte Museum, the various archaeological sites scattered around the city (among the most recent the discovered Piscina Mirabilis), the grandiose Pompeii and the beautiful and also capital of culture for 2022 Procida Island.

The choice on Naples fell because it is in full expansion. The historic center pulsates with energy. Here "cheeky" hotels and shops are opening, such as the Atelier Inès, which are a biscuit factory, a jewelery workshop and partly an artistic guesthouse.
But even areas that were previously considered off-limits to tourists are finally seen in a different light (see the aforementioned Sanità district), which once looked down upon is now a place to visit, but above all a place to stay.
